Ayala Triangle Gardens Back in 2015
Before the 90s, it was called Ayala Triangle. It was around 7.5 hectares fenced with interlaced thick wires. Trees, bushes and grass grew randomly within its perimeter. My office was at the old Makati Stock Exchange. From there, I would just walk inside the triangle, then exit to Paseo de Roxas.
After the change of millennium, Ayala Land converted it into what is now called The Ayala Triangle Gardens. Back in 2015, I was able to capture some images one morning of June. It was a breezy morning. It felt like autumn because petals from the caballero trees were falling like autumn leaves, decorating the verdant grass with yellow, red, orange and red-orange petals.
Recently, Ayala Triangle Gardens underwent a facelift with the construction of the new Mandarin Oriental Hotel at the corner of Ayala Avenue and Paseo de Roxas.
